Integrated Digital Applications (IDA)
“IDA simplifies digital collaboration and communication for GIZ's more than 25,000 employees worldwide. The aim of the launch campaign was to get as many employees as possible on board with the digital transformation and to make the new applications easy to understand. The studio was commissioned to develop a visual concept and design the communication materials.”
Task
A logo and visual identity were initially developed for the launch campaign. The logo shows semi-transparent, overlapping circles with hatching. The exchange and cooperation between different company divisions and locations was thematised. The colour palette was based on the pink and orange tones of the logo and is complemented by broken and darker colours. The campaign included the design of presentations for employee training sessions and the development of numerous communication materials such as brochures, folding cards, postcards, stickers and flyers. Illustrative infographics and illustrations were developed to clearly communicate the new tools and programmes.
The central motifs of the design are silhouettes of employees. They are in motion or in dialogue and are intended to engage and motivate the viewer. Clouds symbolise the cloud-based structure of IDA, while hatching visualises the networking and interaction within the company.
Context
IDA is an internal digital platform that brings together existing IT systems to enable intuitive and modern use. It facilitates collaboration in teams whose members work at different locations and improves access to information, experience and resources.
