German Contribution to the Peace Process in Nepal
“This brochure is more than just documentation. Full page pictures of the reality of life in Nepal, which we know little about, invites the reader to dip into the lively text of journalist Michael Gleich.”
What has been achieved in Nepal in the last ten years?
Between 1996 and 2006 Nepal went through escalating social and political conflicts that ended in a bloody civil war. The brochure describes the most important projects of the last ten years of German development cooperation with Nepal. The aim of the brochure is to inform representatives in German politics about the results of development cooperation in Nepal, and to convince them of the need to continue the projects.
Lively, diverse, and authentic
At the beginning of each section there is a 'counter', in which the topic is introduced with data, facts and figures. People from different social groups are given the opportunity to have their say in numerous interviews. The reader thus also gets to learn about the personal perspectives of those taking part. Two infographics were also drawn for the brochure. Red was chosen as an accent colour that went well with the colourful clothing of the Nepalese in the photos.
